
Zambia formally requests for IMF financing
Zambia has formally requested for financing from the Washington based lender, International Monetary Fund (IMF). This is according to a press release on the IMF website dated 08 December, 2020. The Fund is currently assessing this request.
As part of this assessment, and following an invitation from the Zambian authorities, Mr. Abebe Aemro Selassie, Director of the IMF’s African Department, and Mr. Alex Segura-Ubiergo, mission chief for Zambia are visiting Lusaka during December 7-9 for high-level discussions.
ZACCI will be hosting a Post-COVID Economic Recovery with stakeholders in early 2021 to help spur discussions of a robust recovery plan in 2021.
