ZACCI signs an MOU with US Africa Trade Council

Dear Members, today we celebrate a big milestone. The signing of an MoU with the US Africa Trade Council Atlanta. Signing was today at the ZACCI secretariat. The desire of this MoU is to contribute to the development and sustenance of the well-being of the people of Zambia by ensuring mutual economic corporation and economic growth. ZACCI is keen to establish links and advocate for bilateral trade for Zambia. We hope to have a working MOU for increased business linkages and joint ventures hence exposing local businesses to the international world.
The United States of America offers the largest consumer market worldwide, hence the need for Zambia to take advantage of its large economic base through various partnerships as these.
ZACCI President, Dr Chabuka Jerome Kawesha emphasized on the need to foster a robust public-private partnership which ensures economic emancipation during the MOU signing ceremony. Dr Kawesha urged all ZACCI members and partners to take advantage of what is on offer and forge strong relationships to build sustainable business relations.
Chairperson of the US Africa Trade Council Atlanta in Zambia Dr Elizabeth Nkumbula stated that the MOU signed provides a clear path to strengthening economies especially in this post economic recovery. Dr Nkumbula emphasized on the need for Zambia to take advantage of the export market to the USA that has been opened through this MOU.
The US Africa Trade Council Atlanta is committed to partnering with ZACCI in research and many areas that will help foster economic growth and development.
