Impact Capital Africa: Zambia – Conference
Impact investors, family offices, foundations, faith based and impact funds will have the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities of investing into Zambia, easily search current local investment opportunities, co-invest with other impact investors, undertake early engagement, due diligence and site visits with companies ahead of the conference.
Zambian entrepreneurs and SMEs will learn about impact investing, find and connect with new and relevant impact investors, work with investors who preserve and enhance company values, share due diligence documents securely ahead of the conference, and outline investment impacts and proposed monitoring methods.
Executives, community liaisons and social teams will have the chance to discuss how impact capital can complement and maximise company CSR budgets. A specialist panel will lead the conversation to challenge traditional views of impact investing to consider how the impact investment principles can be applied to mining.
In order to maximise the number of deals closed during the conference, ICA: Zambia has created Impact Starter a unique and exclusive platform which allows entrepreneurs access to investors motivated to invest into Zambia. Impact Starter provides investors with a simple and easy market place to access a pipeline of companies including investment ready SMEs, under-take pre-conference due diligence and site visits, and invest alone or in syndicated deals.
Maximise your time at ICA: Zambia by pre-arranging meetings using ICAs tailor made matchmaking service. Too busy to set up meetings? Let Impact Connects auto-generating function suggest connections based on your pre-determined requirements.
Leading up to the event, SMEs who successfully register for the programme have an opportunity for support as they prepare for the conference. This business support takes the form of professional help — to comply with all necessary Government bodies, to understand the implications of having an external investor, and to create a ‘data room’ containing documents potential investors will be expecting as they consider each company. Qualifying SME’s will be required to pay just 25% of the cost of this professional help.
Who should apply:
The target SME group is established businesses looking for an investment of K500,000+. But smaller companies or start-ups are not excluded — their applications will be channelled to finding ‘angel investors’.
How to apply:
If you run an SME and are interested in participating in Impact Capital Africa: Zambia, you need to apply as soon as possible. Email Impact Africa (info@impactcapafrica.com), contact PEP Zambia or ZACCI.
