
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE NAMIBIA-ZAMBIA BUSINESS FORUM
Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry (MTCI) in collaboration with the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) held a successful Namibia-Zambia Business Forum on the side-lines of the Zambia-Namibia Joint Ministerial Meeting in Lusaka at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
The forum brought together various sectors, including sugar, energy production, cosmetics, beverages, agro-processing, fishing and meat processing, for B2B meetings.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Namibian Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Hon. Lucia Iipumbu noted the need to reignite the economic potential of trade and investment, further emphasising on the necessity to make necessary efforts in removing trade barriers as a way of helping ease trade between the two countries.
And speaking on behalf of Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, the Minister of Tourism Mr. Rodney Sikumba MP, echoed Hon. Lipumbus sentiments, he stressed the necessity of an enabling business environment for trade success and cooperation improvement.
